Return & Refund Policy

Under Swedish and EU consumer protection law, you have the right to withdraw from a purchase of a physical product within 14 days of receiving your parcel, without giving any reason.

To be returned, an item must be unused, unaltered and undamaged, and returned in its original packaging together with any protective sheaths or blade guards that came with it.

Batch-forged knives and pre-orders are crafted specifically for you. Cancellation is accepted before crafting begins.

Once custom production is underway or the item is finished, the standard withdrawal right may not apply, in line with the statutory exceptions for goods made to the consumer's specifications.

The Knife Sharpening Masterclass grants immediate digital access after purchase. Under EU rules on digital content, digital content that has been accessed or streamed is not covered by the withdrawal right once access has been activated.

In-person courses are booked through our course platform and are governed by that platform's scheduling and cancellation terms.

You are responsible for the return shipping cost. Please use a trackable shipping service — carving tools and knives must be securely packaged so that blades cannot pierce the packaging in transit.

As noted at checkout, import duties, tariffs, taxes and carrier fees may apply to deliveries outside the EU unless duties are explicitly prepaid.

If a parcel is returned because duties or fees were refused or unpaid, any refund is issued only after the parcel arrives back in Stallarholmen. Outbound and return postage, customs charges and carrier fees incurred will be deducted from the refund.

If an item arrives damaged or has a crafting defect, Mattis Slöjd will repair it, replace it, or issue a full refund including return postage. Email photos and your order details, and we will sort it out.

Email info@mattisslojd.com with your order number and the reason for the return before posting anything back.

Refunds are processed via the payment provider back to the original payment method within 5–10 business days of receiving and inspecting the returned item.
