Mattis Slöjd is a one-person craft business run by Mattias Höög in Stallarholmen, Sweden. Mattis Slöjd is the data controller for the personal data collected through mattisslojd.com.

When you place an order: your name, email address, delivery address, country, the items you ordered and the order amount. This is what we need to make and ship your knife.

When you use the contact form: your name, email address and your message.

When you pay: payments are handled by our payment provider, Stripe. Your card details are entered directly into Stripe's secure checkout — we never see or store your full card number. We only receive a confirmation that the payment succeeded.

To fulfil your order and deliver it (necessary for the contract with you).

To answer your contact message (based on our legitimate interest in responding to customers).

To send the newsletter (only with your consent, which you can withdraw at any time via the unsubscribe link).

To keep accounting records (necessary to comply with Swedish bookkeeping law).

We do not use your data for automated decision-making or profiling, and we do not sell it.

The site stores your shopping cart and your language choice in your own browser (local storage). This information stays on your device — it is not used for advertising and no advertising or tracking cookies are set.

Stripe (payment processing), the shipping carrier you or we choose (name and delivery address on the parcel label), and the providers hosting the website and its database. Everyone involved only receives what is needed for their part.

Your data may also be disclosed when required by Swedish law, for example accounting obligations.

Order records are kept for as long as Swedish accounting law requires. Contact messages are kept only as long as needed to handle your question. Newsletter addresses are kept until you unsubscribe or the address stops working; after that they are deleted.
